Before this change, a map connected to cloud storage needed a share link for the folder, which you made and pasted in. Now you sign in to Dropbox from the start page and browse your own folders. You can pick a QGIS project in a folder, or the folder itself.

So the container folder does not need to be shareable at all. A folder of maps can stay private, while each map folder in it has its own sharing. This matters on Dropbox plans where you cannot share a folder separately if it is inside a shared folder.

A folder with no .qgs file also works. Groundwork reads the GeoJSON that it finds, and uses a matching style file if there is one.

How to try it

1. Create a map.
2. Under Or connect your own data, choose Dropbox.
3. Click Connect to Dropbox.
4. Sign in. You do this only once.
5. Go to the folder that holds your project.
6. Choose the .qgs file, or the folder itself.
