Layer styling
To change how a layer is drawn, open the Style row in the layer’s ⋮ menu. It lists the styles published with the map, then Simple, then the layer’s own fields below a line.
Pick a field to give each different value its own colour. The legend, the icons in the feature list and the filter all update with it. The same data always gets the same colours, on every device.
Simple draws the layer with one symbol. When you choose it, a dialog opens, where you pick a shape (circle, square or triangle) and a colour. A line or polygon layer can also draw a point shape at one point on each feature: the middle of a line, or a point inside a polygon.
Groundwork saves the choice for that layer, and a share link includes it.
How to try it
- Open a layer’s ⋮ menu.
- Choose Style.
- Choose one of the fields below the line.
- Or choose Simple, pick a shape and a colour, and press Done.
